Mixed Media Art
Before I began painting, I loved working with ink. With a couple good pens always on hand, I developed a habit of sketching wherever I was.
Ink is still my comfort medium, and I love combining it with watercolor, pencil and acrylic from time to time.
Acrylics and Oils
For nearly two decades, I was most comfortable creating in shades of black and white. As color crept into my work, I gradually shifted toward brushes and canvas.
The joy I found in acrylics and oils became its own sort of alchemy; bringing subconscious themes and physical impressions together on canvas.
Inspiration flows best when I take intentional time with nature, music, and books.
